A core-hour measures the amount of time a processor core is used for computation. In Pmass, running a single CPU for one hour equates to one core-hour. Similarly, utilizing 1000 CPUs for one hour totals 1000 core-hours. If your simulation operates on a single CPU for an hour, you've used one core-hour. Activities such as preprocessing and postprocessing do not consume any core-hours.
